Hurry Up and Wait
After weeks of making decisions we never imagined we'd have to make, we submitted our embryo adoption profile—and suddenly there was nothing left to decide. This is the story of the strange space between finishing our home study and finding our match, and all the if/thens my brain managed to create while we waited.

School’s Back in Session
Sometimes the things we expect to simply check off a list end up teaching us far more than we expected. What began as required education for our embryo adoption home study became a lesson in identity, belonging, and holding complicated truths—and eventually led me to create the very thing I couldn't find.

New Milestones
Sometimes the hardest part of following God isn't deciding to say yes. It's continuing to trust Him after the decision has been made. This season taught me that obedience doesn't come with certainty, only enough light for the next step—and that learning to let go of the life I imagined is a process I have to choose again and again.

Choosing Roads Less Traveled
Some decisions become clearer the longer you think about them. This wasn't one of those. The more we learned about embryo adoption, the more questions we uncovered—until we finally stopped asking how and started asking why.

God Coincidences
The older I get, the more convinced I become that God is often writing stories long before we know we're living them. What once felt like unrelated conversations eventually became signposts pointing us toward a road we never expected to travel.

Onward and Upward…. Maybe
There are seasons when faith doesn't feel like standing still—it feels like knocking on one closed door after another. This chapter is about learning to hold hope with open hands, to love each other through grief we processed very differently, and to trust that "no" can sometimes be as much an answer as "yes."

When Grief Became Deeply Personal
There is a difference between believing something is true and needing it to be true. Our son's diagnosis forced us into that space. It became the beginning of a deeper kind of grief, a deeper kind of faith, and the long process of learning to hold both hope and heartbreak in the same hands.

When Provision Looks Like People
When I wanted God's provision to look like healing, certainty, or a clear path forward, He instead, gave us a gifted counselor, faithful friends, wise pastors, compassionate doctors, and a community that reminded us we were never walking this road alone.

The Phone Call That Changed Everything
Some phone calls divide your life into a before and an after. Ours came on an ordinary December afternoon, from a number we almost didn't answer. I now realize the diagnosis wasn't just the end of one chapter—it was the beginning of a story we never could have imagined.

Learning to Wait
I've never minded solving difficult problems. In fact, I rather enjoy them. But some problems refuse to be solved on my timeline. They can only be lived through. Waiting has always been the hardest part for me. I'm slowly learning that it isn't simply what happens before the real story begins—it is part of the story. Looking back, some of God's deepest work in my life has happened in those in-between spaces where there was nothing left to do but trust Him.

Finding Ourselves On Roads Less Traveled
Sometimes life changes all at once. Other times, it changes so gradually you don't realize you've stepped onto a different road until you look back. This is the story of the ordinary moments that led our family onto the road less traveled.
